A Lanarkshire mental health charity founded by former Celtic and Rangers player Rhonda Jones has received a £1,000 donation.
The Alona Hotel, which overlooks Strathclyde Country Park, donated to You Are My Sunshine (YAMS) for Mental Health Day.
The hotel has supported the charity for the past two years through various activities, including hosting fundraising events.
Jensen Taylor Connelly, director at the Alona Hotel, said: "YAMS provide the most fantastic support, literally a lifeline for so many people and we’re delighted to have been able to support them.
"Our partnership has enabled our teams to become more aware and understanding of mental health which touches us all at some point in life."
YAMS, based in Newarthill Library on Kirkhall Road, was founded in 2018 by Jones, a former Scottish international footballer.
She founded the charity, which supports people across Scotland, in memory of her sister Gemma Jones who experienced mental health challenges and passed away just before her 30th birthday.
She said: "We have been honoured to partner with The Alona Hotel and M&D’s over the past two years.
"Like us, Jensen and her team have a desire to better mental health support and awareness, and we have been fortunate to utilise their facilities and resources to help us drive this forward."
YAMS provides free support to people across Scotland with mental health difficulties, assisting around 4,000 people each year.
The charity offers 1:1 support, counselling, activities, therapy, child nurture support, presentations, and education to anyone in Scotland.
