Two people have been arrested after a schoolgirl was attacked by a dog.
A 10-year-old girl was rushed to hospital after the animal lunged at her on Maukinfauld Road yesterday afternoon.
Now a 52-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman have been charged in connection with this incident.
The dog involved was put down following the attack.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3pm on Wednesday, 30 October, we received a report of a dog having attacked a ten-year-old girl on Maukinfauld Road, Glasgow.
“She was taken to hospital and released after treatment.
“A 52-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman have been charged in connection with this incident.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“The dog was euthanised following this incident.”
