Lanarkshire pupils have excelled at a public speaking competition.
The Lanarkshire Lieutenancy's ninth annual public speaking competition was held at Rutherglen Town Hall on October 23.
The event featured pupils from Hamilton College School, St Aidan's High School, St Maurice's High School, and Uddingston Grammar School.
Each team of three delivered speeches on Citizenship in Our Schools and Community and responded to questions from their peers, displaying a high standard of public speaking.
The judging panel was chaired by former Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire Gibby Cox, and included Marion White, director of fatBuzz Marketing Agency, Paul Cooney, CEO of The Kiltwalk, and retired MP Adam Ingram.
The St Aidan's team won the competition, mentored by Deputy Lieutenant Linda McDowall.
The pupils from the Lanarkshire school received their award from the Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire, Lady Haughey.
Lady Haughey said: "Congratulations to all four schools; each pupil should be very proud of their outstanding contributions, as they were each a credit to their schools.
Council for hosting, the dedicated team of organisers and judges, and the education staff for making this event such a success."

The event concluded with a musical performance by St Aidan’s High School.
