A leading charity is daring residents to walk over hot coals to raise money for veterans.
Erskine Veterans Charity is encouraging people to sign up for their village firewalk event which will take place on November 22 at the Erskine Reid Macewen Activity Centre in Bishopton.
Participants will walk over 15ft of sizzling coals which will reach temperatures of 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit.
They will receive full training and a motivational session before the challenge.
The event will start at 6pm, with the firewalk commencing at 7pm.
A free Erskine T-shirt and fundraising support will be given to all participants.
The registration fee for the event is £20 with a £150 fundraising target.
Only 100 spaces are available, and participants must be aged 12 and over, with parental permission required for under 18s.
Jim Watret, Erskine community fundraising manager, said: "The Erskine Veterans Village Firewalk is back after a two-year break, and places are filling up fast.
"We’re calling on courageous ‘soles’ to support the brilliant work Erskine does for veterans by taking on one of the most thrilling challenges out there.
"If you’re up for the adventure of walking barefoot across 15 feet of 1,200 degrees Farenheit hot coals, grab a spot now—spaces are limited, and we can’t wait to see you there."
