Two Bargeddie primary schools have each achieved a 'prestigious' award from sportscotland.
St Kevin’s Primary and Bargeddie Primary schools, which share a campus, have both been given the Gold School Sport Award.
This recognition is for the staff's hard work to ensure all pupil have the opportunity to explore and enjoy a variety of sports and physical activities.
The schools' efforts to create a culture of physical activity and promote lifelong health and well-being among the children have been successful.
Councillor Michael McBride, convener of education, children, and families, said: "This is a fantastic achievement for both St Kevin’s and Bargeddie Primary schools.
"This award reflects the hard work and dedication of the staff and students at both schools.
"This recognition from sportscotland celebrates both schools' dedication to promoting inclusivity, teamwork, and a positive sporting culture."
The sportscotland School Sport Award is a national initiative.
