A Braehead store has undergone a £2m transformation as it marks its 25th year.
Family-owned jewellery and watch retailer Beaverbrooks has made its largest investment of the year to celebrate its silver anniversary at the Renfrew shopping centre.
The team unveiled the new and improved store, which is two and a half times bigger than before, earlier this week.
Set across 5,008 sq. ft. – upscaled from 1,963 sq. ft. – Beaverbrooks Braehead sells a range of Swiss watches and features dedicated shop-in-shop spaces for OMEGA, Breitling, TAG Heuer and TUDOR, which is a new addition to the store.
Shoppers can also browse the luxury watch brand Jacob & Co at the store, which is its only stockist in Scotland, and jewellery brand Marco Bicego has made the Braehead store its first-ever stockist.
The firm's expansion into the adjoining unit has provided a larger area for Beaverbrooks Diamonds & Weddings, where a team of experts will help customers with special engagement and wedding ring purchases.
The store also stocks jewellery and watches from Gucci, RADO, Raymond Weil, and Tissot.
Anna Blackburn, managing director at Beaverbrooks, said: “This investment into retail in Scotland and the future of Beaverbrooks is very exciting for us, particularly as this is our largest investment of the year.
"The Braehead store – which has increased two and a half times in size – marks our fifth refit of the year, with a final one planned before Christmas.
"We are continually investing where there’s opportunity and driving value for the business to safeguard the future of the company.
“We are pleased to continue to position our Braehead store as a destination for diamonds and watches – particularly as it becomes Scotland’s first and only Jacob & Co. stockist, alongside dedicated shop-in-shop areas for OMEGA, Breitling, TAG Heuer, and TUDOR watches.
“We’re confident the refurbished store will be popular with customers – both new and returning – and we look forward to continuing to provide exceptional levels of customer service while showcasing our expertise and passion for watches, fine jewellery and diamonds.”
Janene McQueer, the store manager at Beaverbrooks Braehead, said: “We’re proud to have been part of shoppers’ special occasions for the past 25 years, and our latest refurbishment marks the next part of our journey. We can’t wait to share more celebrations with customers and cement our position as Glasgow’s destination for watches and diamonds.”
Ashley Bisland, centre director at Braehead Shopping Centre, added: “We’re excited to see Beaverbrooks officially open its doors to introduce its new look to our shoppers. It’s a great achievement and milestone for the brand and we’re confident visitors will love the new store.”
