A Glasgow production company is set to bring its annual community panto back to the stage.
Halo Arts has announced its sixth panto, The Wizard of Oz, will begin touring schools and community venues across South and West Glasgow in November.
The production will then culminate in a series of public shows at Maryhill Community Central Halls between December 20 and 22.
The festive show forms part of Halo's commitment to providing accessible community projects across Glasgow.
This year's production of The Wizard of Oz is written and produced by Brendon McIlroy, the founder and artistic director of Halo Arts, and directed by Stephanie Falls.
Brendon said: "We’re super excited at the prospect of our sixth annual panto getting on the road in November.
"As with every year, our primary aim is to make panto accessible to all, not just those who can afford to pay over £30 a ticket in the city centre.
"Over 11,000 school pupils will get to see The Wizard of Oz for free this year and for our public shows, all child tickets are only £12."
The project is supported by Glasgow City Council, Maryhill CCH, Govan Housing Association, Elderpark Housing Association, and Partick Housing Association.
The show promises a unique twist on the classic story, featuring Dotty and her wee dug Toto, embarking on an unexpected journey from Maryhill to Oz.
They will be joined by characters Scarecrow and Tinny, the heartless Tin Wummin, as they aim to defeat the Wicked Witch of the West.
The production guarantees big laughs, big characters, and a tiny budget.
Tickets for the public shows, running from December 20 to 22, are available now.
These can be purchased via the Halo Arts website, with prices set at £14 for children and £16 for adults.
The Wizard of Oz is suitable for all ages, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Public shows will be held at 2pm and 7.30pm, except on December 20.
