Ambitious plans to transform empty shopping centre units into a multi-leisure facility have been revealed.
An application to West Dunbartonshire Council could see two empty units in the Clyde Shopping Centre brought back to life as a bowling alley and games arcade.
The vacant Unit 17 on Britannia Way, formerly an Argos store which closed in 2020, and the adjacent Unit 13, formerly Rouge Clothing, could merge and be transformed into a hot spot for locals with a variety of attractions.
The plans include 18 bowling lanes, two karaoke rooms, eight table tennis and pool tables, arcade machines, an escape room complex, a laser tag arena and a licensed restaurant/bar.
The units at the east entrance hold a prominent position and lie next to the OmniplexThe centre currently holds more than 120 stores and brands.
The applicant company states that they would open the commercial unit outwith the normal shopping centre hours with the hope that they can enhance the evening economy of the town centre.
A decision for the application is yet to be made.
