A PUBLIC meeting on the anti-social and dangerous use of fireworks is to be held in Glasgow after another night of disorder on bonfire night.
There were “pockets” of incidents across the city and reports of fireworks being thrown at people cars and the police.
Pictures and video showed a bonfire lit in the middle of the street in one incident.

Following more complaints about the misuse of fireworks in Pollokshields, which has suffered in previous years, the MP for Glasgow South West has organised a meeting to bring local people together to discuss the issue.
Zubir Ahmed, Labour MP, said an organised city display should be re-instated following the scrapping of the long-running Glasgow Green event, which has not been held since 2019,
He said: “It has been shocking and upsetting to witness the chaos over the past week, culminating in the awful scenes on Tuesday night in our community of Pollokshields.
“As a local resident myself I know how much work has been done by community groups, the police and local elected members in trying to stop this happening this year with the Fireworks Control Zone, but the administrative error in the council meant this couldn't happen.
“I will do my best to ensure that doesn't happen again, not only in our area but across our city.”
A Firework Control Zone was supposed to be in place this year for Pollokshields from November 1 to November 10 but the council failed to complete the necessary order in time.

The MP said he also backs a city-wide control ban on sales of fireworks.
He added: “My office will meet with the police on Friday to discuss what else we can do to ensure the safety of residents and learn the lessons so this never level of vandalism and depraved behaviour never visits our streets again.
“I will be pressing the council hard for the return of a civic organised 5th November display. I will also work be supporting efforts for a ban on fireworks sales across the city.”
The meeting takes place on Monday, November 11 at 7pm at Pollokshields Burgh Hall.
In another incident, fireworks were being sold from a van in Drumchapel in the north west of the city on Bonfire Night.
Police said they were being sold to the public including children and the fireworks were seized.
