A SECOND man has appeared in court charged with a firearms offence after a suspect item was found in a Clydebank flat.
David Allan, 41, made no plea at Dumbarton Sheriff Court today.
He was charged with possessing, purchasing or acquiring ammunition without holding a firearm certificate.
Allan, whose address was listed as Glasgow, was granted bail and will appear again in court at a later date.
It comes after police evacuated residents from their homes for hours following the discovery of the item at Overtoun Court, Dunswin Avenue, on October 28.
We previously reported that a 26-year-old man earlier appeared in court, also charged with a firearms offence.
Christopher Gates made no plea on November 5 and was remanded in custody.
