SCOTTISH tennis legend Andy Murray has announced a new theatre tour, set to take place next summer.

The former world number one and three-time grand slam winner made the announcement in a post on Twitter/X.

He said: “I am stepping onto a different stage this summer. Come and see me on my first ever theatre tour, with Andrew Cotter, in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Hammersmith and Wimbledon.

“Tickets on sale this Thursday on AndyMurray.com.”

Murray retired from tennis earlier this year, playing his final game at the Paris Olympics 21 years after his first professional match.

On the website, the event's description says: "In conversation with sports broadcaster Andrew Cotter, they'll recount intimate and untold moments from Andy's career in this unforgettable live experience.

"Andy's journey is far from over. Join him LIVE as he tells his story of perseverance, growth and finding a path beyond the court, ready to serve up his next adventure.

"Andy will be touring for four UK dates only, during the 2025 grass court season. Don't miss this chance to connect with a true sporting legend - game, set, chat!

"Given the exclusive and intimate nature of this event, the show will be a phoneless experience and all mobiles will be placed in lockable Yondr pouches."

How can I get tickets for the tour?

Murray said tickets would be available on his website from Thursday – more information can be found HERE.

Many fans took to the comments to show their excitement, with one saying: “Congratulations on your new journey.”

“Good luck with it Andy,” said another while a third person encouraged Murray to come to Australia and that they were wishing him “all the best”.
