The CEO of a Scottish organisation will be dressing up as a dinosaur every day to raise money.
Lawrence Cowan, the chief executive of Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus (SBH) Scotland, has launched a #DineyDays Challenge to help fund the charity's support services.
For every £100 raised, Lawrence will wear the charity's mascot, 'Spiney the Diney', for a whole day.
This means he will be completing daily tasks, including getting the train, doing the school run, and hosting important meetings, all while dressed up as a giant blue dinosaur.
The #DineyDays Challenge started on World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day on Friday, October 25, and could run until the end of November, depending on how much is raised.
He launched the challenge to raise awareness and vital funds for SBH Scotland, which relies almost solely on donations to ensure families affected by complex disabilities feel unstoppable in life.
He said: "I am thrilled to launch the #DineyDays Challenge and raise money that will enable SBH Scotland families to feel unstoppable.
"From the very moment they are born, kids with spina bifida and hydrocephalus have to fight.
"SBH Scotland offers support and spaces where they can be themselves.
"Where they can be proud of who they are. Where parents can just be parents for a moment. SBH Scotland is more than a listening ear, more than information. They offer hope beyond diagnosis. They offer all the little things that make life worth living.
"Our Scottish Government money has been cut and funding is the biggest challenge we face just now.
"The money raised through the #DineyDays challenge will help make sure our vital services are still here next year and in the future."
SBH Scotland needs to raise £1.4 million each year to continue offering services and support that families rely on, such as social groups, health and wellbeing clinics, intensive support for new babies, and family outings.
