A CAST iron window frame is among the items that have salvaged during the demolition of the historic O2 ABC building on Sauchiehall Street.
The former cinema turned music venue was badly damaged in the second of two fires at the Glasgow School of Art in June 2018 when the fire spilled over to its roof.
The B-listed structure had lain derelict since and a dangerous buildings notice was issued by Glasgow City Council to its owners OBARCS (ABC) Ltd in August, requiring them to have it demolished by December 9 with work beginning in early September.

Council planners ruled that the "full or partial retention of this building is not viable" after the building was left to deteriorate following the fire despite calls to save the art deco façade.
Now, it has been revealed what the demolition contractor has been able to salvage from the building so far.
As well as the cast iron window frame, individual cast iron window panels, the horizontal cast flashing panel and two vertical column flashings have been saved.

Some, but not all, of the ceramic pelmet finials that sat above the entrance have also been salvaged.
The contractor has confirmed the items are being removed and stored to be reused.
A Glasgow City Council spokesperson said: "In terms of saving elements of the former O2 ABC where possible, the conditions of the Listed Building Consent approved by the Planning Applications Committee require that all best efforts and reasonable steps to salvage materials from the demolished building for reuse, repurposing and recycling shall be taken and materials shall be kept secure until the redevelopment of the site.
"The contractor has confirmed the materials being removed are currently being stored in their yard for later re-use."
