A Glasgow marketing agency has raised nearly £8,000 for a meningitis charity in memory of a colleague.

tigerbond set out to climb the UK's Three Peaks this summer to honour Rhiannon Evans, who died from the disease last year.

The Scottish team, along with colleagues from the London, Manchester, and Leeds offices, raised £7,973 for Meningitis Now.

Three separate teams climbed Snowdon, Scafell Pike, and Ben Nevis, with Helvellyn added due to poor weather.

Laurna Woods, chief executive officer of tigerbond, said: "Together with Rhiannon’s family, we wanted to raise as much money as possible for Meningitis Now, inspired by Rhiannon’s incredible values.

"Despite the weather, which was at times determined to discourage us, our teams were resilient and conquered the four peaks, spurred on by the memory of Rhiannon.

"I am overwhelmed by the generosity of our supporters which will help fund the invaluable services Meningitis Now offers to families affected by the disease."

A virtual challenge was also available for team members who couldn't participate in the physical climbs.

Dr Tom Nutt, chief executive officer of Meningitis Now, said: "We are really grateful to all of the staff at Tigerbond for undertaking this incredible fundraising challenge in Rhiannon’s memory.

"Taking on the Three Peaks, particularly in unpredictable weather, is a testament to the dedication and camaraderie of everyone involved, and a tribute to the affection that Rhiannon inspired.

"The funds that Tigerbond have raised will make a real difference in the fight against meningitis, helping Meningitis Now to raise awareness of the disease and provide specialist support for those who have been impacted."
