North Lanarkshire's provost recently visited a first-aid training centre in Airdrie to learn more about their services.
SkillZone provides essential first-aid, health training, CPR, and minor injury training for community groups and local businesses across the central belt.
Their work includes training Scottish Ambulance Service First Responders and running accredited courses with Edinburgh College.
Provost Kenneth Duffy said: "SkillZone is doing remarkable work to equip our community with life-saving skills and professional health training.
"Kevin and his team are making a real difference, and it’s inspiring to see their dedication to improving public health."
Since opening in November 2019, SkillZone has grown, offering accredited SCQF qualifications and tailored training sessions from basic awareness to paramedic casualty handling.
Kevin Lynch, operations director at SkillZone, said: "Starting SkillZone has been challenging but rewarding.
"We’re proud of the progress we've made and the positive impact of our free community training programmes and are grateful to Provost Duffy for taking the time to come and find out a bit more about what we do."
