A schoolgirl has given a popular Spanish Christmas tune a Scottish makeover. 

Stephanie Liddell, 32, was completely shocked when a video of her crazy and full-of-life five-year-old singing went viral on TikTok. 

It all began when Stephanie noticed her daughter Callie was singing ‘Me and my wee da’ to the tune of Feliz Navidad - leaving the Liddell family and TikTok users in stitches.

(Image: Image of Callie) (Image: Image of Callie) The Dumbarton mum told the Glasgow Times: “We always have a song and dance in the living room. Callie is so full of life, and she loves to sing. 

“The other day she said can we have a dance, so we had been listening to some Christmas songs and she goes ‘Can we listen to me and my wee da’. I explained that I had no idea what she was talking about. 

“She then started singing the song which was the tune of Feliz Navidad. 

“She had me in actual stitches. Her dad was at work, and I thought this is too good not to send to him and the family.”

Speaking of Callie and ‘her wee da,’ Kevin, 37, Stephanie said: “He absolutely loves the video; he thinks it is the best thing ever.

“He can’t stop watching it and laughing.

“He’s even started his own version singing, ‘I’m her wee da’.”

At the time of writing, it has been viewed around 157,000 times and has over 8,000 likes. 

Stephanie said: “We are just overwhelmed with the joy she has given people by just being herself. 

“The positive comments are just mind-blowing.”

But it is not just online that the Liddells’ are seeing positive being spread by Callie’s fun and cheeky character. 

Stephanie explained: “The number of times we have been out at the shops, and we’ve bumped into people going ‘oh my god, that’s the wee girl or that’s Callie from TikTok.

“My friend also works in the local Marks & Spencers and when she went into work the other day her colleagues were all singing ‘me and my wee da’.” 

Stephanie added: “I try to explain to her that so many people have seen the video and think she is fantastic. She obviously doesn’t understand how big it is but she just says, ‘That’s great’.

Between her singing classes and impromptu dance parties, she’s a wee character that her parents could not be more proud of.

Stephanie added: “We call her crazy Callie because she is just so full of life and has us in stitches every day. 

“We are all constantly laughing together. 

“She gets a lot of traits from us, but she is just her own wee person and she is amazing. We are really proud.”
