A MAN has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a "disturbance" early this morning. 

Emergency services were called to Buchanan Street at around 5am this morning following a report of a disturbance. 

A 37-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

We previously reported pictures taken at around 9.45am show large areas have been taped off on Argyle Street and St Enoch Square outside the Bank of Scotland. 

There is also an area closed off by police tape outside a food stand at the Christmas market with two police vans at the scene. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0641 of Saturday, November 16.

"Emergency services attended and a 37-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to serious injuries.

"Extensive enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone with any information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 0641 of Saturday, 16 November, 2024."
