A mum has said her life is now "10 times more amazing" after moving into a newly acquired home by Scotland's biggest social landlord in Glasgow.
Wheatley Homes Glasgow acquired four new-build properties in Drumchapel from Cruden Homes.
These three-bedroom homes at Cleddans Grove were part of a larger development of 44 houses intended for private sale.
However, with the aid of £580,000 funding from Glasgow City Council's Affordable Housing Supply Programme, Wheatley Homes Glasgow purchased the semi-detached homes for social rent.
One of these homes became Claire Doyle's new residence.
The 41-year-old, who is a full-time cleaner, moved into the property with her two sons, Jae, 20, and Jak, 13.
She said: "We previously lived in a two-bedroom flat, but we were living on top of each other.
"The new home, with the extra bedroom, has meant the boys now have their own rooms. That’s made life a lot easier.
"It’s been what we’ve been needing for a long time. We’ve lots of lovely walking areas around here too.
"The move has made life 10 times more amazing.
"We have a big kitchen now with a dining table and chairs, so we can have family round at Christmas time.
"We wouldn’t have been able to do that in the last place."
The four homes are equipped with energy-efficient features, including solar panels and induction cookers, to help reduce tenants’ energy bills.
They also come with gas central heating and sprinkler systems for fire safety.
Lindsay Lauder, director of development and regeneration at Wheatley Group, said: "We are always looking at new and innovative ways to increase the number of affordable homes available in communities, such as Drumchapel.
"This includes purchasing homes directly from house builders or even bringing empty homes back into use.
"There is a strong demand for larger family homes across Glasgow and we know that they can make such a difference to our customers, like Claire and her family."
Wheatley Group recently announced an additional 1,000 homes for local authorities to assist with the housing emergency across the country.
This is in addition to the 10,000 homes already committed by the group by 2026 for homeless people.
