East Dunbartonshire Council has announced when residents can expect their bins to be emptied over the Christmas period.

Councillor Paul Ferretti, Convener of the Council’s Place, Neighbourhood & Corporate Assets Committee, said: "Over the Christmas period, most of us are out of our normal routine and it can be easy to forget about things like bin collections, especially if they fall on a different day.

“So, I’d encourage all households who will be affected by these temporary changes to mark their calendars with the new dates and be well organised.

“Please ensure you have put the right stuff in the right bin and also have your bin out for collection the night before your revised collection day as this will allow our crews to get through the collections as quickly as possible.

“In addition to the kerbside collections, I would encourage people to make use of our recycling sites throughout the area for the extra waste that can be generated at this time of year.”
