The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is set to host the inaugural Halal Food Festival this weekend.
The event, which will take place on Saturday, November 30, and Sunday, December 1, is expected to attract up to 10,000 attendees.
The festival aims to celebrate culinary diversity, culture, and community, with a wide range of halal dishes on offer.
Visitors can expect to sample traditional South Asian favourites as well as Japanese, Korean, African, Caribbean, and Texan cuisines.
The event will also feature live cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs.
Tickets for the event are available now at https://tinyurl.com/4by388c3.
In addition to the food, the festival will offer family-friendly activities and cultural experiences.
These include the Fruitima Fruit Carving Workshop and mascot meet-and-greets for younger visitors.
There will also be lifestyle and artisan stalls selling a variety of products, from clothing and educational resources to supplements and unique gifts.
Proceeds from children's activities will support Islamic Relief, the festival's charity partner.
Angela Smith, head of new business at the SEC, said: "We are thrilled to welcome the Halal Food Festival to the SEC for its Glasgow debut.
"This exciting event is a fantastic addition to the city’s diverse roster of events, a significant portion of which we are proud to host here at the SEC.
"We hope this marks the beginning of a long-standing partnership that brings even more vibrancy to Glasgow’s event calendar."
Bilal Khan, the festival’s founder, added: "This is not just a food festival—it’s a platform to bring people together, celebrate diversity, and break down misconceptions about halal food.
"We’re thrilled to be bringing our successful festival to Glasgow, launching it at a prestigious venue such as the SEC and we can’t wait to welcome everyone this weekend."
