EACH year, families across Glasgow pay tribute to lost loved ones at a moving service of celebration and remembrance.
The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice's annual Light Up A Life appeal, supported by the Glasgow Times, also gives people the chance to raise vital funds for a good cause.
This year's service will be held at St Andrew's Cathedral in Glasgow on Sunday, December 8 at 2pm. Visit the hospice website for more information.
Among those taking part in the service this year will be Debbie McMillan, whose beloved partner Graeme Quinn sadly died a year ago, aged just 41, after a long battle with chronic liver disease.
Debbie and the couple's sons Carter, nine, and eight-year-old Kyle, and Debbie's son from a previous relationship, Kaiden, 17, will be joining hundreds of fellow hospice supporters at the special service.
“The staff here became like our extended family, they gave us so much support, and still do,” Debbie told the Glasgow Times recently.
“I’ll be at the Light Up a Life service this year – I couldn’t do it last year as I was still in a bit of a daze. But we’ll be there to remember Graeme, and to say thank you to the hospice.
"I don't know what I would have done without it."
The names of those remembered are included in a special order of service at the event and are printed in today's Glasgow Times.
