JANEY Godley will visit two Scottish cities for the final time as part of her funeral plans.

The Glasgow comedian passed away on November 2 following a battle with cancer, which she and her family had documented on social media.

Godley's hearse, accompanied by a 100-strong female choir and her best friend Shirley Doig, will make a "final tour" of Edinburgh on Friday.

A procession will start at Edinburgh's Lawnmarket at 2.30pm, proceeding to St Giles Cathedral for a moment of reflection.

After this, the Sound House Choir will perform.

On Saturday, a service will be held at St Mary's Cathedral on Glasgow's Great Western Road at 10am followed by a private ceremony at a crematorium.

In lieu of flowers, her family has asked donations be directed to the Princess of Wales Hospice where Janey spent her final days.

Mourners are asked to wear bright colours at the service, as per her wishes.

Her daughter, Ashley Storrie, previously said she would be given a "grand send-off".

Writing on Instagram after Godley passed, Storrie said: "Here's the details of Janey's final tour, thank you for all the love and kindness in this past week.

"For the past few years of Ma's life, it was important to her that she shared her journey with everyone, to offer support for others on the same path and to highlight the symptoms of ovarian cancer – all of course in her very singular Janey style, with laughter and candour.

"So many of you who have travelled with us on this journey wish to bid her a final farewell, so here's the details of my mum's final tour, in the two cities she loved with all her heart."

The comedian shared last November that she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and this September said she was entering hospice.
