AN INJURED man who spat at police officers during a darts event has been ordered to pay £500 each in compensation.
Ryan Garmany, 27, turned on constables Tom Parker and Bryan Evans at the OVO Hydro arena on May 5, 2022.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that Garmany was at the venue which was hosting Premier League darts at the time.
An altercation between a group took place in the audience which led officers to find Garmany with a bloody nose.
Garmany, of Edinburgh, became "aggressive" towards the officers and ended up being put in handcuffs.
Prosecutor Ross Canning said: "He spat directly in the face of an officer. There was blood in the spit because Garmany had been bleeding.
"He then spat at another officer which landed on his body armour."

Garmany was then arrested before he made threats to kill the officers.
While in a police van being taken to a police station, Garmany screamed.
He also rattled the cage and rattled his head against the wall.
A spit hood was applied to Garmany before he was put into custody and banged on the cell walls.
The spit hood was then taken off his head as Garmany hyperventilated.
He then said: "See that blood, that's nothing compared to what I'm going to do to you, spotty wee b*****d."
Garmany was taken to the charge bar when he further stated: "F***ing m***o."
Garmany pled guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner as well as two assault charges.
Sheriff Paul Reid ordered Garmany to do 270 hours of unpaid work at today's sentencing as well as imposing the compensation order.
He was also tagged for 10 months keeping him indoors between 8pm and 6am.
