Glasgow Fort has launched Christmas charity partnerships to support local young people and their families.
The shopping centre has teamed up with Simba and FARE Scotland to help those in need during the festive season.
Simba Charity assists families affected by baby loss through initiatives such as memory boxes, bereavement rooms in hospitals, and memorial ‘Trees of Tranquillity’.
Meanwhile, Easterhouse charity, FARE, works to improve the lives of disadvantaged members of the local community.
As part of their partnership, Glasgow Fort has set up a contactless donation point next to their Christmas tree, allowing visitors to contribute to Simba Charity's year-round efforts.
The shopping centre is also supporting FARE’s annual toy appeal for the fifth consecutive year.
This initiative ensures every child in the local area receives a Christmas morning gift.
Visitors are encouraged to drop off a range of gifts, from cuddly toys and chocolates to pyjamas and bath sets for teenagers, at the donation point at Glasgow Fort.
These gifts will be wrapped by FARE volunteers and delivered to Glasgow families in time for Christmas.
Phil Goodman, centre director at Glasgow Fort, said: “Christmas can be an especially tough time for many members of our local community and the work Simba Charity and FARE do to support these individuals really is remarkable.
“We’re proud to be a part of their fundraising efforts and encourage all of our shoppers that are able to, to donate – whether that’s dropping off a gift or using the contactless donation point by our Christmas tree.”
Kelsay Wood, community and events lead at Simba Charity, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be the chosen partner for Glasgow Fort’s Chari-tree campaign.
"We rely on our generous supporters all year round. Every Christmas donation made will help us provide high quality memory making experiences for bereaved families in Scotland.

"With every family’s experience being different, each gift can help us make sure we are there whenever they need time, space or love.”
Stefanie Hampson, Christmas coordinator at FARE Scotland, added: “We are grateful for the continued support Glasgow Fort has given us for many years.
"This year, the need for help at Christmas is at the highest level we have seen within 20 years of running the campaign.
“All gifts donated and money raised in previous years has been overwhelming and it shows the generosity of the people of Glasgow.
"This year we hope to reach more families in need and ensure every child has a 'FARE Christmas'.”
