A pub and restaurant is hosting two recruitment open days this week as it gears up to re-open under new ownership following a massive renovation project.
The Rest, previously known as The Travellers Rest, in Neilston will be holding interviews for potential staff between 11am and 7pm on Thursday, December 5 and Friday, December 6.
The Neilston Road premises, which suffered a blaze back in 2021 that firefighters spent more than six hours tackling, hopes to re-open this month.
A post on their social media page last week said: “Our completion date is still to be approved, however, we are confident that we will be open within the month of December and in time for a busy Christmas period.
“This information will be clearer by the time of our open days.”
Those coming along to the open days this week are asked to submit their CV to restneilston@gmail.com prior to the interviews.
They will be located in the function suite which should be entered via the back entrance and stairs of the building.
Attendees are asked not to use any other entrance points for safety purposes.
The parking spaces at the rear of the premises will be designated for applicants, as the remaining spaces at front entrance will need to be accessible for construction workers' vehicles.
“Firstly, we would like to apologise for the postponement of interviews that were previously to take place,” they added.
“The renovation works to The Rest have taken considerably more time than we had initially anticipated.
“We may run more dates after these initial open days, due to the amount of interest received from our previous advertisement.
“So that we are not taking up any more of your time than is necessary we will have more than enough staff available on the day to meet with you and progress interviews. These shouldn’t take any longer than 20-30 minutes.”
