For more than two decades, it has been a fixture of Paisley’s dining scene, a place where families marked birthdays, couples celebrated anniversaries, and friends lingered over late-night curries.
The Indian Scene restaurant on Glasgow Road has now closed its doors for the final time, with owners confirming the decision was made with “much careful consideration.”
In a statement shared with customers , the Sanghera family said recent life events and a desire for a better work-life balance prompted the closure.

The statement said: "We've had the privilege of serving our wonderful community—sharing meals, celebrations, and creating unforgettable memories with so many of you."
The family emphasised that the decision was not made lightly, describing it as a "difficult" choice.
However, they reassured loyal customers that the Indian Scene name will continue through their nearby takeaway at 2 East Lane, which will remain open and operated by the same team of chefs.
All pre-paid vouchers for the restaurant will be honoured at the takeaway.
The announcement was also an opportunity for the family to reflect on their time in business and the community they have served.
They said they have been “privileged” to share in customers’ lives, whether for routine meals or special occasions.
