DENNISTOUN parents are organising a pumpkin trail this weekend so that children can enjoy Hallowe’en safely. Golfhill Parent Council are encouraging families to dress up their windows with spooktacular decorations so that kids can spot as many pumpkins as they can.
Linda Thompson, secretary of the Golfhill Parent Council said: “Like lots of local families, I was disappointed at the idea of Halloween being "cancelled" this year with no trick or treating for local kids.”
I saw the idea doing the round on social media of safe Pumpkin trails and decided to take it to the Golfhill Parent Council to see if we could get the ball rolling to organise the trail in our area. we are clear this is not just a Golfhill activity. Haghill, Whitehill and St Denis’s parents’ councils are on board to date.”
