THREE major banks in and near Glasgow are to close this year.
Bank of Scotland will close two branches - Pollokshields and Bearsden - in the coming months, while Royal Bank of Scotland is closing its Johnstone branch.
The decisions have been made as more customers make the transition to primarily using online banking and are using these bank branches less frequently.
Bank of Scotland Pollokshields (236 Albert Drive, Pollokshields, G41 2NL) will close on July 27, 2023.
The nearest bank for customers to use is located on Victoria Road.
Bank of Scotland Bearsden (19 Roman Road, Bearsden, G61 2SP) will close on July 25, 2023.
The nearest alternative is the Milngavie Station Road branch.
Meanwhile, RBS will close its branch on 8 Church Street, Johnstone, PA5 8DX on August 15, 2023.
It comes after we reported on several other bank closures in the city this year.
NatWest shut the doors of its branch at Blythswood Square on January 26, while TSB will close its Pollok branch on May 17, 2023.
Barclays will close the doors of its Kirkintilloch branch on June 9, 2023.
