Tomorrow 9:30pm on Channel 4 and All 4
With one week to solve the crime, and £50,000 on the line for those who do, teams will have to impress real life senior officers to walk away as winners.
Ian Rankin told Radio Times: “It’s such a dangerous thing to try to do, it’s mad! But it stretched me in all kinds of ways because this isn’t normally the way I operate.
“It was a challenge but a really entertaining one, and it kept me sane in the first few months of the year when we were still in lockdown.”
This is everything we know about Murder Island.
When can I watch Murder Island?

Each duo has eight days to catch the killer, sifting through evidence, examining pathology and forensic reports, as well as interviewing witnesses and suspects.
They must solve the crime and build a watertight case that can stand up in court, all under the watchful eyes of real-life senior investigating officers and leading lawyers.
Murder Island begins on Channel 4 at 9.30pm on Tuesday.
