Fans of the cleaning guru Mrs Hinch have shared their top tips for storming condensation on windows this winter.
A new user of the Facebook community group 'Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips' asked for some advice from their fellow cleaning fanatics after spotting "a lot" of condensation and mould build-up.
Many of us will also be spotting a lot of condensation and mould in our homes as temperatures drop over the winter months.
Condensation can damage your windows and furniture, and it can also cause mould to form which could be detrimental to your health.
The new group member issued a plea on the community group, writing: "Hi everyone I’m new to this site and was just wondering and hoping for some advice, my windows in my house are getting a lot of condensation/mould build-up, we’ve had the windows properly checked for damage and been told they are fine, is there anything that I can do to stop this moisture on my window panes? Thanks x".
Many users took to the comments to help as they shared their preferred methods and products for protecting their homes from condensation.
One top contributor recommended: "You do need to give them a quick wipe each morning when they're wet with condensation as well as open the window on semi lock."
A second person chimed in: "You need to provide enough heat and ventilation in the property. Minimise moisture by not drying washing indoors ( use tumble dryer )opening windows wide after showering etc. De-humidifier if you can run to it will help massively".
While another commented: "Put washing up liquid on a cloth and wipe leave it to dry on its own."
A fourth member suggested: "Keep window open a half in or so as much as poss/keep the small disposable humidifiers on the windowsill which you can buy on Amazon."
