Channel 5's latest drama The Cuckoo follows one family as they escape to the country in hopes of new beginnings.
Jessica, Nick and their 14-year-old daughter Alice move to the countryside to leave their financial woes and family conflicts behind.
Hoping to make some extra cash, Jessica and Nick welcome in artist Sian as a paying lodger after they are left skint.
As the family welcome Sian, Alice struggles to leave London behind while Nick and Jessica overcome an affair.
While Sian seems very friendly towards the family, Nick quickly begins to have concerns about Sian's real motives and grows suspicious of the artists.
Channel 5's The Cuckoo stars actress Jill Halfpenny best known for appearing in Byker Grove along with ITV's The Long Shadow, In the Club and The Holiday.
Also starring is Lee Ingleby who has starred in many popular shows including Inspector George Gently, The A Word, The Hunt for Raoul Moat, Line of Duty, Life on Mars and many more.

The Cuckoo was created and written by Barunka O’Shaughnessy who has worked on the likes of BBC's Motherland, Channel 5's The Teacher, Sky's Breeders, Deadline, Timewasters and more.

How to watch The Cuckoo on Channel 5
The Cuckoo will air on Channel 5 and the streaming service My 5 starting on Monday, April 8 at 9pm.
The drama will have four episodes each airing across four nights from Monday, April 8 to Thursday, April 11.
