Prosecutor Mark Allan told Glasgow Sheriff Court: "As a result of this, the steward then asked him to leave.
"He was escorted to the door and one of the knives fell from his bag.
“He then went to pick it back up but the steward took it.
"He asked for it back and explained he needed it for work, but the steward refused to return it.”

Connelly left the pub before speaking with two police officers.
Mr Allan went on: “He told them he had three more knives and a spatula and that he needed them for his work as a chef.
"He was intoxicated...and was taken to the police station.”
He pleaded guilty yesterday to being in possession of the blades.
Ian McClelland, defending said: “He should not have done it and accepts that.”
Sheriff Gerry Considine deferred sentencing for reports.
Bail for Connelly, of the city's Maryhill, was continued meantime.
