A MAN is behind bars after being caught with £13,220 worth of heroin and cocaine.
Craig Bonnar, 37, was in a motor which was halted in Rutherglen, near Glasgow before a later raid at a property in the city’s Calton.
The 37 year-old pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to possession with intent to supply heroin and being in possession of cocaine.
Prosecutor Mhairi Alexander said: “Police identified a blue Skoda that was known to officers (on April 9 2020).
“The officer asked for assistance and another police vehicle attended and followed the car.
“At a red light, Bonnar appeared to reach down to get something at the passenger side.
“Police put on their blue lights and stopped Bonnar.
“He appeared shaky and pale as he exited.
“The police went on to search Bonnar and his car.”
The police discovered large number of individual bags inside all containing heroin.
On November 9, 2020, he was again stopped before a raid of a house in the city’s Calton, where more drugs were found.
The court heard a total of £13,220 of heroin and cocaine was discovered during the searches.
Callum Weir, defending stated: “There will be a need for reports regarding this matter.”
Sheriff Sean Murphy QC deferred sentencing for reports until next month and remanded Bonnar in custody.
