I ORDERED a weekend family takeaway treat from Yadgar on the recommendation of a friend and we were certainly not disappointed.
The food was fresh and hot when it arrived on our dinner table last Saturday from this popular Pakistani grill.
We plumped for a range of dishes and were careful to order a mixture of mild and spicy.
The Fish Pakora went down really well among both adults and children with the white fresh wrapped in a mildly spiced, light crispy batter.
We had the pakora as a starter and then laid out the Chicken Biryani, Fried Rice, Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala and
Yadgar’s Daeese Kebab for everyone to share.
The large kebab came on a bed of naan bread and salad. It also came with a yoghurt sauce which while we felt we didn’t need to calm our palates from the kebab, we did need to restore feeling in our mouths after the firey Sarson ka Saag. The spinach dish was tasty and deliciously smoky. But hot! Too much so for the kids who couldn’t even be persuaded to try it.
But we all thoroughly loved the meal and would definitely order again from Yadhar before too long. Even the saag but also with a yoghurt sauce.
Price wise the meal was very reasonable with the main courses, the large kebab and the Chicken Tikka Masala each costing £7.50.
