THREE MEN were cleared today of throwing pyrotechnics at police officers before a Celtic match.
Michael Callaghan, 24, Jack Cameron, 24, and Aiden Connolly, 23, were accused of acting with others to behave in a disorderly manner on November 28, 2019.
The Hoops were set to take on French outfit Stade Rennais in a UEFA Europa League clash that night.
Court papers stated that they had their faces masked, shouted, swore and attempt to engage with groups of opposing fans.
Allegations also said that they threw lit pyrotechnics at an officer and police horses as well as commit breach of the peace.
Callaghan, of the city's Trongate, Cameron, of Neilston, East Renfrewshire, and Connolly, of Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire, denied the single charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
A jury returned a not proven verdict and the trio were acquitted.
