GLASGOW'S West End will soon welcome a new pub, which will open on the site of a Mexican eatery.
Plans for The Bakehouse pub on Great Western Road submitted by hospitality chain Greene King have been approved.
The pub will take over the unit currently occupied by Mexican restaurant and bar El Jefe's, which is in the process of moving to a new location.
The new spot will feature a main bar serving craft beers, fine wines, and coffee, and an entirely refurbished lounge areas with new screens.
According to the application, the Kelvinbridge unit will undergo an internal refurbishment, including new decoration and wall panelling, new seating, balustrade and screens, as well as a new bar.

The exterior will also receive a full redo, with new signage and lighting.

Greene King had lodged the plans for the site of 510 Great Western Road in January, which were then approved by Glasgow City Council in late February.
Earlier last month, El Jefe's had announced on social media it would move to a still undisclosed location at the end of March.
The site had previously been occupied by another pub, the Crafty Pig.
