Sweet-toothed vegans are in for a treat as a plant-based bakery opens in the West End today.
Plant Blonde on 61-63 Hyndland street will serve a menu full of veggie fare, artisan coffee and of course, their signature empire biscuits.
In a Facebook post this afternoon the team said simply: "61-63 HYNDLAND STREET - WE ARE OPEN!"

Soon to be customers have reacted joyfully to the news and are already making plans to visit the shop.
One said: "Fabulous!!! Well seeing the sun is shining on you! I am so happy for you and will be over for a cuppa and cake."
Another added: "Been following the page and really looking forward to visiting once I'm out of self-isolation."

Plant Blonde was co-founded by Jennifer Walls who swapped her teaching carer to follow her passion for baking during lockdown.
Speaking previously with the Glasgow Times she said: “We’ve put so much time and effort into the café already.
“There are architects and project managers working away and we recently started recruiting for staff.
“The response was overwhelming. We had so many people getting in touch to say that they wanted to work with us because they share our ideas and beliefs.
“That was so important to us because it means the world that we’ll be working with people who are passionate about the same things that we are.”
We wish them all the best for their opening weekend.
