A WOMAN has been arrested following a serious assault at Westerton train station.
Two women were seriously assaulted during an altercation that occurred around 10.30pm, with one of them being rushed to hospital for treatment.
It is understood her condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed a 32-year-old woman has been arrested in relation to the incident.
A BTP spokesperson said: "Around 10.30pm, officers were called to an altercation at the Westerton train station which resulted in two women being seriously assaulted.
"A 32-year-old female has been arrested.
"Another woman was taken to hospital for treatment."

ScotRail announced the station reopened around 12.30pm.
