A Govan shopper has taken part in an action-packed competition to raise much needed funds for a local food bank this week.
Taking part in Aldi's nationwide Supermarket Sweep, Hannah Holmes raced against the clock to win a total of £712.20 for The Govan Pantry on Sunday, April 3.
During a five-minute trolley dash, Hannah collected a range of Aldi goodies and found a hidden inflatable in the store which means Aldi Scotland has doubled the total value of her haul and donated the lump sum to her nominated foodbank.

On top of this, Hannah has scooped £350 worth of items for herself.
She said: “I’d like to say a huge thanks to the team at Aldi for the opportunity to take part in such a fun event.
"As a teacher, I was able to grab some much-needed supplies for our school breakfast club, as well as being able to raise an amazing amount for the lovely team at The Govan Pantry who popped along to cheer me on.
"The pandemic has hit families so hard, and sadly things are only getting worse, so I hope my 5-minute dash around the aisles will help those that need it most.”

"I’d like to say a big thanks to Hannah who did an amazing shop, and to the team at Aldi for matching the amount she raised.
"This will really make a huge difference.”
Aldi's Supermarket Sweep will return to Glasgow later this month.
