A SOUTHSIDE coffee shop has applied for retrospective planning permission after turning a former print shop into a cafe.
The plans submitted this week ask the city council for permission to use the retail unit as a cafe with external seating.
The coffee shop is located in Strathbungo's Nithsdale Road.
Planning papers state that the premises used to be a trade print centre and now the new owners want to form a coffee and dessert bar with external seating.
The planning papers state there will be no open cooking on the premises and the coffee shop will open 11am to 11pm except midnight Friday and Saturday.
The planning papers state that the work has started and the applicant was unaware that planning permission was required.
It adds that proposals have been altered from shisha cafe.
A decision on the proposal by Strathbungo Coffee and Dessert Bar is expected by planning chiefs by June 6.
