A MAN has died following a crash with a UPS truck on a busy road.
The 35-year-old, who was driving a black Mercedes, was in a crash with a brown UPS heavy goods vehicle at around 5.45am this morning.
The incident happened on the A723 Carfin to Holytown link road in Motherwell, which we previously reported earlier had resulted in the road being closed.
Cops raced to the scene, where the man was sadly declared dead.
Officers are now investigating the incident and are encouraging those with dashcam footage to get in touch.

Sergeant John Tait said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has sadly died in this collision and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“We are appealing for information and I am asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time or who saw what happened or who has dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation to get in touch.”
