All services running through Uddingston train station today have been cancelled or revised until further notice.
At around 11:25 am a Network Rail spokesperson warned that reports of a broken rail would continue to affect services at the station until the issue is safely resolved.
They said: "We have had reports of a broken rail at Uddingston. For safety reasons, trains will be unable to run through this station until an inspection has been carried out.

Not long after, at around 11:28 am, ScotRail confirmed the news saying: "@NetworkRailSCOT has informed us that a safety inspection of the tracks needs to be carried out at Uddingston & until this has been done we can't run services through the station.
"Services running through this station will be cancelled or revised."
