POLICE Scotland has warned car owners to take precautions after several cases of theft from cars across Lanarkshire.
In a Facebook post, officers warned that they are currently dealing with several incidents where belongings were taken from vehicles.

The post said: "If you have a car that uses keyless entry keep the fob away from doors and windows and out of sight. If possible make use of a faraday pouch when not using your car.
Always check that you vehicle is locked and secure. Before leaving your vehicle parked try the doors to check they are locked to avoid accidently leaving a door open."
They also warned not to leave valuable items in cars and to only park at areas covered with security cameras.
