A MAN is due to appear in court for drug offences after £130,000 of cannabis was discovered at an address in Rutherglen.
The 24-year-old was arrested and charged after officers executed a warrant at an address in the Baronald Street area of the town at around 2pm yesterday.
There, they discovered a cannabis cultivation with an estimated street value of £130,000.
The is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow.
Inspector Kevin Miller, of Rutherglen Police Station, said: "We have taken drugs off the street during this operation and have arrested one individual.
"Taking drugs off the street is a priority for Police Scotland and we will ensure Rutherglen remains a hostile environment for anyone looking to engage in criminality.
"Anybody with any information or concerns about drugs within their community should contact Police via 101 where we can then investigate."
