One person said: "This is ridiculous. How are we supposed to plan our days when you keep closing Kinning Park and West Street."

Another asked: "What's with all the closures recently?"

This comes after SPT was forced to close stations every day of this week. due to operational issues.

A spokesperson said: "Operational issues is the availability of staff to cover the Subway system.

"Our staff numbers have been adversely affected by a number of issues including staff turnover, the ongoing Covid pandemic and a high number of staff having to self-isolate often at short notice ie on the day or time of their shift beginning.

"This does mean we are often forced to make sudden changes to keep the majority of the system running.

"We are actively recruiting within Subway to help deal with the current staffing issues and have a number of new staff undergoing assessment at the moment."
