POLICE have locked down an East End street as their investigation continues into the unexplained death of a man.
Craig Watson was found injured in the early hours of Sunday morning in Dennistoun's Whitevale Gardens shortly after what police believe to be an "altercation with a number of people".
Emergency services raced to the scene but were unable to save the 39-year-old from Colwood Avenue.
Today, uniformed officers have been pictured in the new estate as enquiries continue to establish the cause of Mr Watson's death.
Whitevale Gardens was taped off while a number of police officers were pictured standing guard along the street.
There were also several police cars and vans at the scene and the road was closed to traffic.
Police have stated they are keen to speak to a number of youths who they believe were in the area at the time and may have witnessed the altercation.
Anyone with information about Mr Watson's death is asked to contact police via 101, quoting incident number 0126 of Sunday, April 17.
