HUNDREDS of hungry Glaswegians queued at a Southside chip shop to support a mental health campaign in a special promotion yesterday.
Golden Chip, located in Croftfoot, offered everything on their menu for £1.99 with all proceeds going to LD Let's Talk.
LD Let's Talk promotes mental health awareness by holding weekly meetups in Castlemilk, which are open to anyone.
They also sponsor benches at schools and parks, which invite people to sit and talk about how they are feeling.

Residents in line were overjoyed to get a great deal and support a worthwhile cause.
From 3pm until late, hundreds of customers came to enjoy the food.
The queue was running down the street and shop was filled all afternoon.
Derek Reid, founder of LD Let's Talk, said: "Ever since I finished work, my phone has been going wild saying that the line was over the corner.
"It's a great cause and I appreciate the Golden Chip for doing it.
"It's a very successful night for the campaign and hopefully for them as well, it is a huge thing they are doing."
The full amount of the proceedings will go towards building new benches.
The staff of the restaurant hid three special tokens in three bags of food and the lucky winners will get to decide which Glasgow schools receive them.
Jetta Hutchison, of the Golden Chip, said: "Yesterday was super busy, the queue was right up the street. Lots of customers came but the most amazing thing is that it is for a good cause.
"Not a lot of people speak about mental health, I think it's important to let people know that it is okay not to feel okay.
"The staff has been managing okay, obviously it's for a good cause, so everybody is really happy. We are just aiming to get everybody served and give them nice food."
Rebecca Grainger, a server at the chip shop, added: "It has been absolutely insane. I honestly didn't expect this many people, I didn't even realise there were this many people that knew about us.
"It's amazing to see everybody and we have been working really well together.
"I am just really excited for everyone to try the food and see how much effort Ali has put into this.
"A lot of the customers said we are doing really well and they are impressed that we are doing all of this for LD Let's Talk.
"The customers know that our food is good, so for them to get it at this price, I think they are very happy."
Greg Johnson, who works with LD Let's Talk founder Derek Reid, said: "This is a great cause for the community.
"It's tapping into people who really need that support and help.
"Like anything around here, we all chip in and help.
"I got a sausage supper, fish supper, five pickles for the wife and curry sauce."
John Lawless, 65, who took his granddaughter, said: "I have been here a few times, the food is great and mental health awareness is becoming more and more important."
Amy Gilchrist, 25, who lives locally, said: " I come here quite a lot, they have really nice food.
"My favourite is a fish supper, which is what I got today.
"I am very happy to support this campaign, mental health is very important."
Amanda Gilchrist, 45, said: "The food is great, I normally order once a week.
"It is a great opportunity to raise money for the campaign as well."
