FIRE crews raced to a grass fire in Erskine yesterday evening, amid an "extreme" wildfire risk.
Emergency services were alerted to a fire in a field at the rear of Sempill Avenue, in Erskine.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed two fire engines attended around 7.17pm on Sunday, April 25, and the fire was quickly extinguished.
It comes after the SFRS issued a warning for "extreme wildfire risk".
The warning was in place in the west of Scotland over the weekend, from April 22 until today, April 25.
It read: "The risk of wildfires across many parts of Scotland over the next few days has been declared as 'extreme'.

"The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has issued a warning that fires could ignite and spread easily with warm temperatures and strong winds forecast."
Group Commander Keith Langley, one of SFRS' wildfire tactical advisors, had urged the public to take the utmost care in the countryside.
He said: "The key issues over the next few days are sunshine, warm air temperatures, low humidity and moderate to strong winds.
“Dead grass, leaves, twigs and heather on the ground will dry quite quickly in these conditions and when ignited can burn very fast with extreme fire intensity.
"Please exercise caution outdoors to avoid fires breaking out and think twice before using anything involving a naked flame."
