THE owners of a much-loved bakery in Glasgow's East End have announced that they are selling their venue.
Sweet Jane bakery in Dennistoun announced on their Instagram page that they were going to "move on to new opportunities" and offer their business to someone else.
The news comes after a two-year stint of Sweet Jane serving baked treats to the community.
The team added that they would be baking up until May 29 and thanked their followers for their support.
Locals were devastated at the news, with one saying: "You guys played a massive part in me making it through lockdown... it became the highlight of my week."
Another called the bakery "an absolute treasure to the East End".
Sweet Jane was first launched in 2020 on Duke Street by the team behind popular brunch spot Mesa, and quickly became one of the East End's most popular eateries.
