FIRE crews raced to a quiet Hamilton street early this morning following reports of a car on fire.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were alerted to the blaze on Waverley Crescent at around 1am this morning.
Images from the incident show what appears to be a dark coloured car on fire outside a property.
One engine was sent to the scene and the blaze was extinguished.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident and it is not clear what caused the fire.
An SFRS spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 12.58am on Wednesday, May 4 to reports of a car fire on Waverley Crescent, Hamilton.
"Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.
"There were no reported casualties."
Police Scotland was made aware of the incident.
